About the Role

The Product Lead (Vehicle Variant) oversees a wide range of engineering tasks to deliver the design, integration, and verification of a Vehicle Variant Mission System. This role provides technical leadership to the project team, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of the vehicle variant.

  • Technical leadership of cross-functional teams comprising Senior System Engineer, Physical Architecture Lead, and engineering discipline team leads.
  • Supporting a team of engineers responsible for designing, developing, and testing the vehicle variant.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements during the development process.
  • Planning and managing vehicle engineering activities through Workpackages and subsequent project CMS.
  • Managing the delivery of vehicle engineering activities in accordance with project CMS, approved Project Plans, and RDA Project Execution Process (PEP).
  • Progress reporting and escalation of issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Managing interface to major vehicle sub-systems.
  • Leading the design and integration, as well as supporting verification, production, and delivery of the vehicle variant.
  • Preparing Engineering Outcomes and Deliverables for Mandated System Reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, DDR, TRR, FCA, PCA, SAA).
  • Supporting MSR material delivery, including presentations to customers and closure of related Action Items.
  • Developing, reviewing, and approving Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items when required.
  • Promoting effective communication with program stakeholders, including internal functions, suppliers, and the Commonwealth.
