First Nations and Community Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Sustainable Business, Marketing & Communications team as a First Nations and Community Engagement Advisor. This role will play a critical part in advancing our reconciliations efforts and delivering on our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) commitments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of future RAPs with support from our Reconciliation Steering Committee, Reconciliation Advisory Community, leadership team, and RAP Champions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and integrate First Nations cultural practices within the organisation through training, education, and mentorship.
- Work with Sales Area Australia & New Zealand Key Account Managers and their customers to lead, collaborate, and influence reconciliation efforts, enhancing our position as a leader in social sustainability.
- Coordinate, deliver, and evaluate community sponsored programs, events, and initiatives, as well as develop strong partnerships with local communities.
To be successful in this role, you will need a tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience in a similar role. Demonstrated experience in facilitation of culturally sensitive subject/s and managing multiple community engagement projects will be highly regarded.
You are a vibrant, friendly, and outgoing individual who has a passion for people and making connections. You have effective communication, listening, and presentation skills, as well as relationship building skills and experience working with First Nations communities and organisations.
