First Nations and Community Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Sustainable Business, Marketing & Communications team as a First Nations and Community Engagement Advisor. This role is a key part of our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and will play a critical role in advancing our reconciliations efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the execution of deliverable items in our Innovate RAP according to Reconciliation Australia's framework.
- Facilitate culturally sensitive presentations to raise awareness and educate on First Nations culture.
- Represent Sandvik at forums and build relationships with community groups.
- Engage with local communities and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with legal and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop strong partnerships with local communities.
To be successful in this role, you will need a tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience in a similar role. You will also need effective communication, listening, and presentation skills, as well as relationship building skills and experience working with First Nations communities and organisations.
