The National Quality Manager assumes a senior leadership position within a clinical governance unit, overseeing patient safety and quality enhancements.
The RoleThis role entails applying evidence-based methodologies to inform decision-making, enhance services, and drive system-wide improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A tertiary qualification in a relevant health discipline, accompanied by a minimum of five years' experience, including quality/patient safety/health service management.
- Demonstrated understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and associated Clinical Care Standards and Advisories.
- Proven knowledge and application of evidence-based practice and research to support safe, high-quality healthcare provision.
- Extensive experience in applying quality improvement methodologies to drive innovation and service enhancements, utilizing advanced project and change management skills.
- Well-developed critical thinking, analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within large, complex organizations, developing productive working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Postgraduate qualifications in health service management, quality, or system improvement.
- Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office and related software.
