About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Transdev Queensland. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to lead and manage our operations control centre.

As an experienced manager, you will work closely with our operations manager to ensure we deliver safe and reliable bus services to our customers. Your day will be filled with supporting and coaching OCC operators, maintaining a visible presence in the depot, and managing daily bus driver shift changes and roster variations.

You will also be responsible for ensuring our contractual requirements are met, identifying and closing gaps in processes and procedures, and leading the coordination of rail replacement buses and events work.

This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities. If you have experience in leading teams and are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team, ideally within a blue-collar industry.
  • Proven ability to build rapport and foster positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, making thoughtful decisions and managing crises effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a calm demeanour, allowing for effective troubleshooting and innovative solutions under pressure.
  • Well-developed skills in interpreting and applying legislation, standards, guidelines, and policies.
  • The ability to learn quickly and easily adopt new technologies and systems.
