Finance Business Partnering Manager

The role of Finance Business Partnering Manager is a key position, providing financial business partnership to the Research and Development function and other units within the organization.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives, enhance financial accountability, and improve financial acumen across the organization.
  2. Assist in setting financial targets, developing profitable financial plans, and conducting financial appraisals of strategic plans to support business objectives.
  3. Prepare and deliver accurate, compliant, and timely financial information, including monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and statutory reports.
  4. Maintain an effective control environment by ensuring compliance with financial policies, conducting audits, and safeguarding data integrity.
  5. Drive process enhancements, including the use of technologies, to optimize financial operations and reporting capabilities.
  6. Monitor and adjust business priorities and costs in alignment with changes in funding capacity, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Professional accounting qualifications or studying towards (e.g., Chartered, CPA, or CIMA)
  • 5-10 years commercial experience in a multinational organisation
  • Strong financial and business analysis skills in complex operating environments
  • Successful FP&A track record, including budgeting/forecasts, management reports, and analytics
  • Working understanding of project accounting environment
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing policy, procedures, and process governance
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Confident dealing with a range of stakeholders (SVPs, project managers, subject matter experts)

This role requires strong financial modelling skills using Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of MS Powerpoint and Word.
