Strategic Financial Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial Partner to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic financial performance and delivering impactful budget management.

About the Role

This is a critical position within our Financial Services team, offering the opportunity to support financial practices that underpin our broader strategic and community goals.

  • Prepare monthly journal reclassifications across projects and GL accounts
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports and quarterly budget reviews
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of our annual budget, and fees and charges
Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Analyzing financial data to inform decision making and drive business efficiency
  2. Implementing cost allocation, performance measurement, and continuous improvement practices
  3. Collaborating with stakeholders to provide strategic advice and improve financial literacy
  4. Maintaining key registers, including Restricted Assets and Unspent Grants
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in accounting, commerce, economics or a related discipline
  • CA/CPA status (or working towards) or equivalent professional experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in financial systems, advanced Excel skills, and internal controls
