About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Leading Hand to join our team at Dnata Travel Group. As an Operations Leading Hand, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services at Brisbane Airport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coordination: Assist in leading and coordinating the Customer Delivery team to ensure the delivery of service to all airline customers in line with operational schedules and safety requirements.
  • Productivity and Performance: Ensure that productivity and performance criteria are met in the designated area of responsibility, including completion of regular performance assessments.
  • Work Organization: Organise and coordinate work within their area of responsibility to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Catering Truck Supervision: Assist the supervision of catering trucks within a designated work area to ensure they reach and load-up the aircraft safely and on schedule.
  • Training and Induction: Assist in training and inducting workers within a designated work area.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative documentation such as shift reports and rostering.
  • Quality Control: Follow up on any discrepancies and ensure in-flight meal loading is correct.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: MR or HR drivers license required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility working around flight schedules is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Additional Qualifications: Fork Lift license preferred yet not essential.
  • Criminal History: As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrating leadership, decision making and organisational skills necessary to efficiently meet performance requirements in a changing work environment.
  • Availability: Availability to work 38 hours/week, as this role is a full-time permanent position.
