Job Description

The Casual Merchandise role is an exciting part-time opportunity to join our team, working approximately 20 hours per week, which may include ½ day on Saturdays.

As a key member of our team, you will focus on developing strong customer relationships with local farmers, primary producers, and trade customers, providing a memorable experience for all customers either in-store or over the telephone.

  • Perform general administrative tasks including stock control, ordering, receipting, and dispatching of goods
  • Assist customers with pricing and product queries
  • Process counter sales
  • Maintain safety processes
  • Assist with merchandise campaign material
  • Maintain a welcoming, friendly, and well-presented store environment
  • Loading and unloading trucks, dispatching, and unpacking orders and deliveries

We are looking for someone with a high focus on customer service, problem-solving skills, and the ability to think outside the square. You will also have a passion for Australian farming and agriculture, ideally with knowledge of animal health and rural merchandise.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience working within a sales environment
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills to build solid long-term customer relationships
  • Problem-solving skills and empathy to resolve customer issues promptly
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
