About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Property team at Queensland Treasury Corporation as a Senior Property Advisor. As a key member of the Industry, Investment and Commercial (IIC) Group within the Advisory Division, you will be responsible for providing strategic, financial, and commercially focused advice that optimises assets, projects, portfolios or transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Present financial analysis and commercial solutions to complex asset challenges.
  • Prepare leased and owned accommodation plans for large office and other commercial property tenancies/portfolios.
  • Create development feasibility and precinct analysis on significant urban renewal projects across the state.
  • Provide transaction due diligence, including identifying risks and returns on planned investments and portfolio strategies.
  • Assist with procurement options and structured finance arrangements for construction and delivery programs, including market and investment analysis.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate strong financial and commercial acumen with extensive expertise in dealing with property sector issues and challenges.
  • Demonstrate understanding of property development, investment or portfolio optimisation and evaluation approaches.
  • Excellent hands-on report writing, financial analysis, modelling and presentation skills to provide deep insights.
  • Proficient in complementary technical and analytical skills such as financial modelling, corporate finance, project finance, feasibility studies, development management, structuring or valuations.
  • Skills in negotiating and facilitating discussions in a variety of project and client situations with an engaging and persuasive communication style.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage a cohesive project team of professionals.
  • Critical thinking, decision-making and complex problem-solving skills, including ability to effectively diagnose situations, provide options analysis and develop creative solutions.
  • Financial, economic, industry and statistical analysis skills with high attention to detail.
  • Communication skills (verbal, written, presentations), research, reporting and advocacy to a level suitable for presentation to stakeholders.
Education and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in a property, development, finance / commerce, business and economics or similar disciplines required for this role.
  • Complementary education and deep career experience in property may also be considered alongside demonstrated, equivalent and relevant professional training in the key technical competencies.
  • Solid experience from prior roles that demonstrate overall competency with focus on commercial property or development sector.
