The Role

As the Production Manager, you will oversee all aspects of plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and production efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • oversee the Production Operations while supporting the Site Manager.
  • Ongoing enhancement of the production unit's performance.
  • Providing strategic leadership to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the plant.
  • Managing all aspects of plant operations, including production planning, engineering initiatives, materials management, and resource allocation.
  • Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures to maintain high standards of product quality, safety, and environmental sustainability.
  • Leading and developing a team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee development.
  • Monitoring production metrics and performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.

To Be Successful, You Will Need:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role of a minimum 3 years within the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and quality management systems applicable to chemical manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team towards achieving operational excellence.
  • Understanding forecasting and P&Ls to optimise production processes.
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
