Job Opportunity
The UNSW Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the X-ray Facility as a Senior Research Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning X-ray science strategies with UNSW's research goals, engaging in collaborative research on X-ray methods, and managing the facility's operations to support stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of research scientists, technical and professional staff to deliver operational excellence and innovation
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, MWAC to align X-ray science strategies with UNSW's research goals
- Engage in independent and collaborative research on X-ray methods
- Manage the X-ray facility's operations to support stakeholders
Requirements
- PhD in Material/Chemical/Physical Sciences
- Recognised authority in X-ray techniques
- Leadership experience in collaborative research with impactful outcomes
- Ability to manage commercial services and knowledge of research ethics and compliance
