Senior Contracts Administrator

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our NSW Construction team working on the New Shellharbour Hospital Project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  1. Ensuring internal cost controls are maintained through close liaison with the Contracts Manager and Project Director.
  2. Compiling and approving tender documents and proposed tender lists for trade package tendering processes.
  3. Establishing an effective system for project administration in line with company procedures and guidelines.
  4. Preparing contract documents for each trade package/subcontract.
  5. Administering project financials through our cost management system.
  6. Participating in the submission of monthly consolidated reporting on cash flow forecasting, variation status, contractual matters, and cost analysis.
  7. Managing variation claims, progress claims, and other financial matters under the Head Contract and trade package/subcontract agreements.
Requirements

The incumbent in this role requires the following qualifications and experience:

  1. A degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management or relevant experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the building construction industry.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships at all levels of the business.
  4. Able to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to adapt to shifting work priorities to deliver results.
