Visionary Urban Planners

We are seeking highly motivated Strategic Planners to play a key role in shaping the future of our community.

In this position, you will work collaboratively with council teams, external stakeholders, and the community on a wide range of planning and development matters.

• Develop and assess planning proposals to ensure alignment with council objectives.
• Coordinate the assessment of scoping proposals to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
• Review Development Control Plans (DCPs) to inform strategic decision-making.
• Prepare detailed masterplans that balance growth with sustainability.
• Contribute to heritage planning initiatives to preserve cultural significance.
• Support infrastructure strategies that promote economic growth while ensuring community needs are met.

We are looking for a collaborative team player with exceptional communication skills who can build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• A degree in Town Planning or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience in strategic planning, with added value in heritage or recreation planning.
• Skills in preparing detailed strategic planning documents and/or masterplans.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
