Nurse Unit Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Unit Manager to lead and oversee the Surgical Ward.

Job Description

This is a Full-time position of 76 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will provide operational leadership and management of the Medical and Rehabilitation Ward.

  • They will ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while managing human, financial, and material resources.
  • Actively participating in quality improvement and accreditation processes, adhering to National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards (NSQHS) and Workplace Health and Safety protocols is crucial.
  • The successful candidate will also support and mentor less experienced nursing staff, promoting continuous learning and development.
Selection Criteria
  • Current Registration with AHPRA is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years previous experience at NUM level or equivalent is necessary.
  • Experience in the Acute setting is also essential.
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards is mandatory.
