Job Summary:

The Health and Safety Superintendent will lead the development, implementation and maintenance of effective HSE systems and processes across 3 mining operations in regional NSW. This role is responsible for overseeing health and safety activities on mine sites, providing high-quality documentation and training tools, and ensuring industry best practice is adhered to.

About the Role:

This key position reports to the Manager Health, Safety, Environment and Training and is accountable for driving a positive health and safety culture across the organization. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and coaching abilities, with experience in mine safety leadership and conducting site audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of health and safety activities on 3 mine sites
  • Developing and implementing effective HSE systems and processes
  • Providing quality documentation and training tools
  • Ensuring industry best practice is adhered to
  • Conducting site safety audits and investigations
  • Leading the development and implementation of training programs
  • Fostering a positive health and safety culture
