An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced enthusiastic Health Safety and Training Advisor to support our Picton operations.

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager and Training Coordinator, the HSET Advisor will provide advice, practical expertise and solutions to site-based personnel and contractors involved with the project on all HSET matters, risk management and training requirements.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Maintenance of Piacentini & Son's HSET Systems, Policies and Procedures
- Lead ICAM investigations
- Verification of Competency Assessments
- Facilitation of Inductions
- Monitor site competency requirements
- Liaise with managers to develop and maintain training plans for their teams
- Ensure that all training records are appropriately maintained
- Assists with the development of Training Systems
- Conducts timely Training Needs Analysis to assess safety training gaps.
- Foster a proactive approach to HSET matters on site
- Support site operational staff through coaching and development.
- Support company safety initiatives as well as develop site specific programs
- Auditing of internal safety performance and documentation to ensure compliance
- Delivery of internal and external Health, Safety and Training
- Completion of Fitness for Work testing
- Report to key stakeholders internally and externally and provide strategies for areas of improvement in performance
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Professional communication both written and verbal.
- Background in mining, resources or earthmoving operations would be seen as advantageous
- Proven time management and organisational skills, the ability to work autonomously

**Your Qualifications**:

- OHS related qualifications
- Training and Assessment qualifications
- Current Occupational First Aid Qualification desirable.
- ICAM Lead Investigators (or similar)
- Auditing desirable
- Competencies in Mobile equipment, SME
- High Risk Work Licence - LF, EWP, CN, DG, RB Highly desirable

We operate a diversified fleet of over 500 pieces of Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu and custom designed and built machinery.
