Cost Planning Expertise

Supporting business operations and fostering key relationships to enhance the company's market presence.

The role of a Cost Planner entails:

  • Creating cost plans, handling multiple tenders, and measuring associated costs,
  • Developing strategic partnerships with clients and QS to identify future opportunities and build a project pipeline,
  • Providing high-level advice on cost planning to potential clients,
  • Assessing preliminary estimates against construction programs,
  • Managing tender processes, ensuring suitable trade coverage for each tender, and possessing a deep understanding of subcontractor markets,
  • Analyzing and presenting statistical breakdowns for each tender, including trade coverage/risk and opportunities,
  • Collaborating with teams to prepare and submit tenders within stipulated time frames,
  • Presenting cost plans and tenders to clients, addressing post-tender queries and submissions.

Requirements:

  • Construction Management or Quantity Surveying degree,
  • At least 10 years of experience in construction management from a Tier 1/2 background,
  • Proven track record in delivering tenders within the building sector across NSW,
  • A strong, approachable personality with excellent communication skills.
