At Legal Aid NSW, our Defence and Veterans Legal Service (DAVLS) works to empower the defence and veteran community to safely share their stories with the Royal Commission.

We are seeking a Community Engagement Officer to join our team and assist us in developing and managing stakeholder relationships. This role will be responsible for ensuring that our stakeholders and internal staff have the information they need to support the defence and veteran community.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with defence personnel, veterans and their families, as well as demonstrated communication skills and the ability to encourage stakeholder participation with DAVLS initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with our team to develop and implement strategies to engage with the defence and veteran community, and will be responsible for fostering relationships with key stakeholders.
