Job Role Overview

Main Responsibilities
  • Respond to client inquiries on behalf of the accounting team in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Negotiate payment plans, interest and fee remissions, and lodgement extensions with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
  • Manage ASIC tasks such as changes of directorship or shareholdings, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Oversee Company and Trust Set Ups, guaranteeing accurate and timely completion.
  • Coordinate client signature collection and return of tax-related documents, fostering a sense of urgency and importance.
  • Perform ATO Lodgement Reconciliations, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Lead Client On-boarding activities, establishing strong relationships from the outset.
  • Handle phone calls, take messages or redirect as necessary, providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain office presentation and cleanliness, reflecting positively on the organization.
  • Scanning and filing documents (physical and electronic) in an organized and systematic manner.
  • Collate Financial Statements and Tax Returns for Client Meetings, ensuring thorough preparation.
  • Collate Trust Deeds and Company Documents, safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Collect mail, scan, file and redirect as appropriate, streamlining administrative tasks.
  • Compile Client Profiles and Maintain Structure Charts, providing valuable insights into client needs.
  • Process ASIC Renewal Invoices and Prepare Client Letters and Follow-Up, promoting proactive communication.
About You
  • Prior experience in a tax accounting or bookkeeping firm is advantageous but not essential, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
  • Demonstrate high organizational skills, prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit professional verbal and written English communication skills, fostering effective collaboration.
  • Show a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.), leveraging technology to enhance productivity.
  • Demonstrate a positive outlook and genuine interest in helping others, driving a culture of excellence.
