Job Opportunity

This is a chance to join our team as an Investment Governance Specialist. The role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney and requires working at least three days a week in the office.

  • Regularly review and update compliance monitoring procedures for investment products.
  • Monitor adherence to internal control processes on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Take ownership of conducting Due Diligence Questionnaires on third-party fund managers.
  • Investigate breaches and incidents and ensure timely resolution and improvement to the control environment.
  • Assist with regulatory filings and review reports related to OTC derivatives trading.
  • Oversee shareholder reporting requirements and monitor any FIRB exclusions and investment mandate exclusion monitoring.
  • Suggest improvements to manual processes and optimize workflows for efficiency.
  • Escalate exceptions to senior stakeholders for prompt attention.

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in investment compliance from a fund or investment management background.
  • Strong understanding of fund or investment management processes, including drivers behind market movements and asset manager processes.
  • Expertise in Excel is essential.
  • Tertiary qualification and/or industry-specific certification.
  • Experience working with a Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firm preferred but not required.
  • Good organizational, research, and administrative skills are crucial.
