We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Officer to join our team at Ngare Employment Solutions Pty Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring our company operates sustainably, responsibly, and in a way that meets the expectations of our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the sustainability team in working with operations, engineering, and corporate teams to understand data collation methods and gaps.
- Establish and maintain the environmental management system.
- Collect environmental and sustainability data and assist with accurate reporting in compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage sustainability data and reporting in current format while providing options for improved governance systems.
- Keep up to date and advise the business on any emerging trends, best practices, and changes in environmental legislation.
- Review and advise on carbon data, carbon accounting methods, and carbon markets as part of the business decarbonization strategy.
- Work with farm base and consultants to assist in mapping scope 3 emissions.
- Assist with the development of the company's ESG policies.
- Good understanding of environmental legislation.
- Experience in sustainability and environmental reporting.
- Preferably with two plus years' experience undertaking this function within an FMCG company.
- Tertiary qualification – Graduate (Bachelor/Master) in Engineering, Science, or Supply Chain Field with a preference for an Environmental Science qualification.
- Quantitative, data-focused approach to problem-solving, with excellent skills in MS Office applications.
- Prior work with NPI, NGER, and WEMP reporting would be advantageous as would experience in project work related to carbon neutrality.
