Role Overview:

As a key member of our Reporting and Compliance function, you will take ownership of critical financial processes to deliver timely, accurate information.

  • Accurately process month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and general ledger adjustments.
  • Manage fixed assets and leased assets in line with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Prepare and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy.
  • Support compliance reporting requirements, including BAS and Fringe Benefits Tax returns.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and accounting for novated leases.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and general ledger adjustments.
  2. Maintain the fixed asset register and capitalise assets in line with company policies.
  3. Manage leased assets and related accounting in accordance with AASB 16 requirements.
  4. Prepare and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts, including intercompany transactions, to ensure accuracy.
  5. Support compliance reporting requirements, including BAS, withholding tax, ABS surveys, and Fringe Benefits Tax returns.
  6. Perform monthly reconciliations and accounting for novated leases.
  7. Assist with statutory audit queries, ad-hoc requests, and financial analysis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Current or recent CA or CPA accreditation.
  • Experience in accounting or financial accounting roles.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, report building, complex formulas, formatting, and data validation.
