Job Title: Cyber Security Expertise

Role Summary

This senior level position requires a unique blend of analysis and communication skills to support the development and execution of cyber security programs across the energy sector. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for enhancing cyber maturity, forging effective collaborations, and addressing complex challenges.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of security control and maturity frameworks relevant to the energy sector, as well as contemporary understanding of cyber adversary techniques and tradecraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivery and ownership of complex outcomes in support of the Energy Markets Cyber Coordination team's objectives.
  • Maintaining contacts and engaging with stakeholders across government, industry, and academia.
  • Reviewing and maintaining AEMO cyber security standards applying to market participants.
  • Supporting review and refinement of sector-specific cyber maturity frameworks.
  • Assisting in the development of supporting materials and presentations.
  • Coordinating internal and contracted resources to deliver objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in the energy sector supporting critical infrastructure, resilience, and cyber security initiatives.
  • Effective analysis and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of security control and maturity frameworks relevant to the energy sector.
  • Contemporary knowledge of cyber adversary techniques and tradecraft.
  • Procurement, program, and project management skills.
Education/Professional Certifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science, technology-related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Cyber security, energy, or project management qualifications or certifications would be advantageous.
