We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Cyber Analyst. This role will play a critical part in supporting cyber security maturity and capability uplift across the energy sector.

  • As a Senior Cyber Analyst, you will support the development and execution of a program of work to enable effective discharge of responsibilities in coordinating with government authorities and industry stakeholders on response to cyber security incidents.
  • You will also enhance frameworks used to inform cyber security maturity uplift across grids and markets, coordinate cyber security research activities on emerging issues affecting energy grids and markets, and promote a shared understanding of the cyber threat environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and ownership of complex outcomes in support of the Energy Markets Cyber Coordination team's responsibilities relating to cyber maturity uplift.
  • Maintaining contacts and engaging with stakeholders across government, industry, and academia.
  • Identifying and reviewing AEMO cyber security standards applying to market participants.
  • Supporting review and refinement of sector-specific cyber maturity frameworks and reporting on security preparedness of the sector.
  • Assisting in the development of supporting materials and presentations.
  • Coordinating internal and contracted resources to deliver objectives.
  • Supporting Manager, Energy Market Cyber Coordination in reporting on progress against initiatives and other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the energy sector supporting critical infrastructure, resilience and cyber security initiatives.
  • Effective analysis and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of security control and maturity frameworks relevant to the energy sector.
  • Knowledge of jurisdictional structures and arrangements across State, Territory and Commonwealth governments with respect to energy and cyber security.
  • Contemporary knowledge of cyber adversary techniques and tradecraft.
  • Procurement, program and project management skills.
  • Financial/budget management, scheduling and resource management skills.
  • Ability to travel interstate and work flexible hours.
