The Moulding Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines. In this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for maintaining housekeeping standards, adhering to safety protocols, and working effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the workspace
  • Read and understand daily production schedules to prepare for optimal machine performance
  • Prepare machines for daily production by conducting routine checks and adjustments
  • Retrieve inserts as required, ensuring timely delivery to production teams
  • Apply anti-seize agents to all bolts to prevent damage and ensure smooth operation
  • Inspect clamps on tools for tightness and framework for cracks, addressing any issues promptly
  • Clean or replace breathers as needed to maintain equipment efficiency
  • Conduct daily crane inspections to guarantee safe operation
  • Identify, communicate, and report hazards to ensure a safe working environment
  • Recognize and report quality issues promptly to minimize downtime
  • Execute tool changes according to the daily production schedule, minimizing disruptions
  • Demould all products, verifying their quality and integrity
  • Train Product Specialists in trimming parts to enhance product knowledge and skills
  • Attach Safety Warning Information (SWI) to all tools before removal from the machine
  • Elevate issues related to achieving production schedules to management for prompt resolution
  • Record and label rejects accurately to facilitate efficient quality control
  • Input cycle times into the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to optimize production flow
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate machine issues to resolve problems efficiently
  • Read and comprehend SWI's and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to stay informed
  • Complete inspection reports for Quality Assurance purposes, providing accurate data
  • Operate hand and power tools safely, adhering to established guidelines and regulations
  • Request necessary tools from the Material Mover for scheduled tool changes
  • Propose Continuous Improvement ideas to enhance processes and productivity
  • Effectively transfer knowledge and skills to less experienced staff members
  • Solve related problems in the work area using problem-solving techniques that go beyond set procedures

In this role, you will work under general supervision, with limited coaching on the job and minimal checking of others' work. You will participate as an effective team member, sharing gained knowledge and guiding less experienced staff. This position requires strong communication skills, enabling you to interact with people through written documentation to convey straightforward facts. Additionally, you will deal with routine inquiries from other sections within the plant, minimizing conflict and promoting a positive working environment.

To excel in this position, you must have a general understanding of our company's mission and values. You will also need to comprehend the roles of sections you interact with during your course of work and possess more detailed knowledge of your own section's roles and functions. Lastly, you must comply with occupational health and safety regulations, engage in safe working practices, and report any incidents or accidents immediately.

This is a night shift position, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet the demands of our 24/7 operations.
