About The Role

As a Senior Technical Architect at Australian Retirement Trust, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our technology landscape. This position is responsible for designing secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-optimised technical solutions that support ART's strategic goals. You'll work across a broad technology domain - including Cloud & Infrastructure, Digital Workplace, and Platform Engineering - while collaborating closely with Solution Architects in Application and Data domains.

You'll provide architectural leadership and guidance, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategies and standards. Your work will include defining target states, promoting reusable patterns, supporting risk assessments, producing platform and technical architectures and mentoring others in best practices. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will influence technology strategy, improve architectural practices, and contribute to the continual evolution of ART's technical capabilities.

About You

You are a seasoned technical leader with deep experience in complex ICT environments and a passion for designing innovative, enterprise-grade solutions. Your background includes:

Proven experience in technical, cloud, platform and infrastructure architecture and leadership within medium to large organisations.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), Microsoft 365 services, and enterprise infrastructure.
A solid grasp of security, disaster recovery, observability, and IT service management (e.g., ServiceNow).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across business and technical teams.
A proactive mindset, with a drive to mentor others, improve practices, and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Desirable qualifications include a degree in a relevant field, cloud architecture certifications, and experience in superannuation or financial services.
