About This Opportunity

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will play a pivotal role in enhancing workplace safety practices by building strong relationships with site teams, while working closely with management to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing health, safety, environment, and quality policies and management systems in line with project-specific requirements, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation.
  • Creating actionable plans to ensure clear steps to reach company and project goals, upskilling employees to ensure successful implementation and consistency, constantly seeking areas for improvement.
  • Visiting sites and engaging with site teams, leading by example to create a positive safety culture with strong relationships.
  • Engaging with clients and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role ideally within infrastructure, civil engineering, MECELEC, electrical engineering, construction, or related industries.
  • Experience developing and implementing health and safety policies, in line with relevant legislative requirements.
  • CertIV in Health and Safety, or equivalent.
  • Experience in gap analysis, and ability to provide practical and tangible solutions where required.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining good working relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
