About This Role

This is a senior management position that oversees the food service operations within multiple residential care facilities in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

The primary goal of this role is to ensure exceptional hospitality experiences for residents by providing leadership coverage when our Chef Managers and Head Chefs are on leave.

This position includes supervising team members, maintaining high-quality food presentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant food safety regulations and business accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and oversee a high-quality food service that consistently meets resident expectations
  • Lead day-to-day management of kitchen operations
  • Maintain ordering systems and supervise ordering for all sections in the main kitchen
  • Provide supervision to employees regarding food operation and maintain high standards of quality and presentation
  • Ensure Food Safety Plan (HACCP) compliance with NSW Food Authority requirements
  • Maintain business accreditation through regular audits and inspections
  • Comply with RSL LifeCare's Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures
What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced leader with certification in Commercial Cookery, as well as knowledge of food handling legislative requirements, including HACCP principles and modified diets.

Candidates must have experience in managing person-centered catering operations and possess demonstrated commercial acumen, verbal and written communication skills, and compassion.

Prior experience in Aged Care Residential settings is an advantage. The ideal candidate will be able to build strong relationships with staff and stakeholders while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
