Job Description

The Emergency Response Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management of emergency response capabilities and associated activities.

Key responsibilities include conducting audits, rectification work, and ongoing maintenance regimes for all emergency response equipment. Scheduling and coordinating emergency response training and exercises are also crucial aspects of this role.

A successful candidate will have a Certificate IV in Underground Coal Mining (3rd Class Deputies Ticket), a comprehensive understanding of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 & Regulation 2017 and applicable Australian Standards.

They must demonstrate a commitment to a high-performing safety culture and proven experience in a similar role in an underground mining environment. Additionally, they must be able to hold the position of appointed Fire Officer on site, with attention to detail in reporting and good written/verbal communication skills.
