Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality laboratory services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of laboratory investigations, including specimen reception, data entry, and laboratory testing. They will also be involved in analyser maintenance, quality control, and other activities as directed by senior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory investigations using established methods and procedures
  • Conduct front-end activities in specimen reception and data entry
  • Work in a multidisciplinary laboratory environment with biochemistry, haematology, and immunohaematology departments
  • Maintain analyser equipment and perform quality control checks
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum qualification of Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of pathology services within a discipline relevant to the department
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to quality management and continuous quality improvement
