We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our data centre projects and design teams.

This role is unique in one of the most rapidly expanding industries in the world.

The Role
  • Manage consultants ensuring they engineer and design to required standards.
  • Stay at the forefront of technology and electrical equipment development; influence design optimisation.
  • Challenge electrical consultants with informed knowledge ensuring customer requirement optimisation.
  • Contribute to design workshops and present actionable recommendations.
  • Review/amend Concept Designs and Proposals, coordinating with Project and operational teams.
  • Support Bid Team with Proposal contributions.
  • Develop electrical load balancing and assess impacts for new deployments.
  • Provide insights into design risks related to redundancy and resiliency.
  • Coordinate client requirements for projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and participate in Integrated Systems Testing.
  • Develop feasibility studies, due diligence reports, and project scopes.
  • Review drawing and modelling production work, including problem analysis.
  • Work with engineering and project teams on scope, budget and schedule application.
Your Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years in Data Centres engineering experience.
  • Expertise in Electrical Engineering: managing project stages for mission-critical facilities, electrical systems design, troubleshooting and optimisation.
  • Detailed understanding of uninterruptible power sources, diesel generators, electrical switchgear, power distribution units, and automatic/static transfer switches.
  • Systems Knowledge: Deep understanding of LV and HV systems, data centre redundancy principles like distributed and block redundancy.
  • Detailed understanding of relays, protection schemes, high-voltage distribution system, power and distribution transformers, earthing and switching.
  • Advanced understanding of technical engineering codes/standards as they relate to data centre environments.
