Apprentice Construction Program

The Apprentice Construction program provides individuals with the opportunity to learn and develop skills in various aspects of construction. This comprehensive training program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and expertise required to succeed in this field.

Program Overview

  • This program combines on-the-job training with formal education, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience while learning theoretical concepts.
  • Participants will be trained in core construction skills such as construction site safety orientation, introduction to construction math and tools, basic rigging and material handling, communication and employability skills, confined space awareness, fall protection, and first aid/CPR/AED.
  • Upon completing the core skills, participants will move on to increased industry knowledge in one or more areas of concentration: industrial, wind, and solar construction.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for learning.
  2. Attend formal training sessions and complete on-the-job training activities.
  3. Perform general tasks involving physical labor and operate hand and power tools of all types.
  4. Adhere to company standards and follow safety procedures.
  5. Work well as part of a team and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • 0-4,000 hours of on-the-job training experience.
  • Basic knowledge of power tools.
