Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to well-researched policy development that aligns with the department's strategic objectives in international engagement, including trade and environmental policy initiatives.
  • Conduct data gathering and analysis using a variety of sources to inform business decisions and drive policy outcomes.
  • Coordinate policy input and prepare advice on agricultural trade and environment issues for international meetings and negotiations, ensuring effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • Brief and communicate with senior executives and other Commonwealth agencies on trade and international issues, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders, including industry, bilateral partners, and other government agencies, to inform policy and achieve outcomes that benefit Australia's international engagement.
  • Coordinate and participate in industry meetings and international engagements, representing Hudson's interests and advancing the department's agricultural trade and international agenda.
  • Deliver programs and provide administrative and secretariat support to advance the department's trade and environment policy objectives, ensuring effective project management and coordination.
