Job Title: Skilled Tradesperson
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled tradesperson to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out restoration and reinstatement works, including cutting and shaping materials, assembling and nailing parts, and erecting and repairing framework.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will require a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Carpenter, a Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification, and a current driver's licence. Experience in insurance building and restoration work is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Studying drawings, insurance repair scopes, and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.
- Ordering, selecting and preparing timber and other materials to carry out restoration and reinstatement works.
- Cutting and shaping materials, assembling and nailing parts, and cutting wood joints to repair or replace damaged structures.
- Erecting and repairing framework, roof framing, sub-flooring, flooring, doors, windows and panelling as part of insurance repair projects.
- Assembling and installing timber fittings, joinery components and structural elements in both new and reinstated works.
- Repairing and restoring existing fittings and structures damaged by fire, water, storm or impact.
