**Mechanical Tradesperson**

**The role**

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated **Mechanical Tradesperson** based at our **Stapylton **site. This is a full time position as an integral member of the team working various shifts across multiple 24hr production facilities.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure commitment to safety, quality, and the environment
- Carrying out mechanical repairs on a range of fixed plant with a particular emphasis on planned and predictive / preventative maintenance.
- Work closely with the Operations team during breakdowns, fault finding and troubleshooting issues.
- Effectively respond to callouts and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner, ensuring mínimal downtime
- Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs in accordance with site requirements.
- Perform major overhauls through various plant shutdowns.
- Focus on continuous improvement ideas.
- Provide direction to contractors and work groups as required.

**What you will need to succeed**
- Trade qualified (Mechanical Fitter) preferably with a background in heavy industry
- A confident, self-motivated, energetic individual
- A team player with a high degree of trade flexibility
- Ability to work, at times, autonomously and without direct supervision.
- Post Trade certificate and experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding
- Basic computer skills
- High Risk Forklift license - desirable but not essential
- Working at Heights, Confined Space - desirable but not essential
- EWP tickets - desirable but not essential
