Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled tradesperson to join our production team. As a Workshop Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and preparing all mould gear and ancillaries.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring moulds meet strict quality specifications and production timelines. You will work closely with the Mould Maintenance Manager, Production, and Quality teams to achieve seamless operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, repair and prepare mould equipment and tooling
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support root cause analysis
  • Ensure moulds meet quality specifications and production timelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support smooth operations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization
  • Support training and compliance with safety protocols

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (toolmaking experience an advantage)
  • Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow maintenance schedules
  • Familiarity with safety standards and a proactive safety mindset
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
