Biomedical Science Educators Wanted for Casual Positions

Australian Catholic University (ACU) is seeking casual academic Biomedical Science lecturers, tutors, and demonstrators for multiple opportunities located at our Canberra, North Sydney, and Strathfield campuses.
Key Responsibilities- Lecture Delivery: Deliver engaging and informative lectures on various topics in biomedical science, ensuring alignment with the university's curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Practical Sessions: Prepare and deliver practical laboratory sessions, guiding students through experiments and demonstrations while emphasizing safety and proper technique.
- Tutorial Facilitation: Facilitate interactive tutorials and workshops, encouraging student participation and fostering a deeper understanding of biomedical science concepts.
- Teaching Materials: Develop and update teaching materials, including lecture slides, handouts, and assessments, to ensure content remains current and relevant to the field.
- Student Support: Provide support and guidance to students during office hours, addressing their questions and concerns regarding course material and assignments.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure consistency in teaching approaches and to share best practices in biomedical science education.
- Assessment: Assess student performance through various methods, such as grading assignments, exams, and practical work, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
- Qualifications: Demonstrate relevant educational qualifications in biomedical science or a closely related field, such as a Master's or PhD degree, and any additional certifications or training.
- Teaching Experience: Describe your experience in teaching biomedical science at the tertiary level, including lectures, tutorials, and laboratory demonstrations, highlighting your ability to engage and motivate students.
- Knowledge and Skills: Provide evidence of your in-depth knowledge and understanding of biomedical science subjects, including current research and developments in the field.
