Accounting Leadership Role

The Lead Accounting Specialist is a key figure in the accounting team, responsible for overseeing the month-end close process and preparing financial reports. This role requires strong analytical skills, organizational expertise, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the accounting department to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Assist in developing annual departmental budgets, capital asset plans, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Prepare financial projections of projected revenue and profit in conjunction with financial analysis of budget vs actual operating results.
  • Direct and oversee the preparation of property tax returns, sales tax returns, and real estate tax returns.
  • Design and implement procedures to ensure corporate policy compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors and respond to audit findings.
  • Approve expenditures within established guidelines.
