Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Manager to lead electrical maintenance activities at our mine complex.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that electrical maintenance activities meet statutory requirements and electrical equipment is reliable in order to optimize business performance and minimize operational downtime.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Control and manage the mines electrical engineering activities and projects, including statutory obligations
  • Establish and maintain electrical maintenance practices in accordance with company procedures and statutory requirements
  • Develop, periodically review and day-to-day implement the Electrical Engineering Management Plan (EEMP)
  • Control and manage the design and execution of electrical work and installations
  • Oversee and provide guidance in the execution of the weekly work and shutdown schedules to minimize any unscheduled work
  • Drive electrical performance in order to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime
  • Provide technical advice and support to key stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the mine site to ensure work plans are aligned to business goals and are delivered as per schedule, on time and within budget
  • Utilize the technical skills and knowledge of various personnel on site, within the broader organization or via external sources to carry out the responsibilities associated with this position

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in a coal mine environment. You must hold a current EEM certification, electrical trade qualifications, high voltage switching, EEHA Hazardous areas and mining supervisory competencies. A post-trade engineering qualification will be highly regarded. You will also need demonstrated commitment to safety and the ability to foster and maintain a positive safety culture.
