About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and organized Senior Finance Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our finance and administration department, you will be responsible for providing strong administrative support to our finance, purchasing and contracts functions.
- Working closely with the finance and administration team to achieve project targets and deliver results.
- Collating information for submission of financial reports and completing cost variance analysis with the support of the senior accountant.
- Posting cost accruals and utilising excel to review costs and provide information to key stakeholders on spend and trends.
- Coordinating month-end activities and processes, including analysing daily profit/loss reports for commentary to key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a Cert III or IV in Business Administration and experience working in a mining or heavy industry environment with exposure to accounting/finance tasks. Alternatively, you may be an up-and-coming accountant with some mining or heavy industry experience looking for a pathway to a mine/management accountant role.
About YouYou will be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and have experience with accounts payable, receivable, payment claims, and procure to purchase processes. You will also have well-developed written and oral communication skills, problem-solving skills, and be able to drive performance and work collaboratively.
