Key Role Summary

We are partnering with a leading mining operator to find a capable Mine Accountant for their high-performing team in regional NSW.

Job Description

This role is embedded within the site's commercial function and involves shaping financial outcomes, improving controls, and contributing to operational decision-making.

  • Reporting to the Commercial Superintendent, focus on core financial reporting through strategic input on cost control and performance management.

You will be involved in:

  • Month-end management and financial reporting to ensure accurate financial information
  • Site budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to optimize financial performance
  • Asset register and capital expenditure oversight to ensure effective resource allocation
  • Driving financial process improvement and internal controls to maintain a strong financial position
  • Business partnering with operational leaders and Head Office to deliver strategic objectives
Required Skills and Qualifications

We're looking for someone who thrives in a production environment, is commercially minded, analytically sharp, and comfortable partnering with both finance and operational stakeholders. Key requirements include 3+ years' experience in site-based accounting, strong Excel and financial modelling skills, a proactive mindset, and passion for continuous improvement.
