Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced data analyst to join our Reserving team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for manipulating and modeling data to generate and support actuarial liabilities of the Workers Compensation portfolio.

You will also deliver business insights across claims experience, performance trends, underlying risks, and issues.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity with flexibility to work from home or in our office.

Responsibilities:

  • Manipulate data and build models to support actuarial liabilities of the Workers Compensation portfolio.
  • Deliver business insights across claims experience, performance trends, underlying risks, and issues.
  • Develop technical skills in reserving, capital, and adjacent areas (e.g., building actuarial models, coding in R or SAS).
  • Deliver processes and projects efficiently, recommend improvements, and produce clear, insightful reports and dashboards using tools like R Markdown.

Qualifications:

  • Actuarial degree or tertiary qualifications in an analytical field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in actuarial or a relevant role.
  • Coding experience in R and/or SAS is ideal but not essential; proficiency in Excel is preferred.
