Motor Claims Specialist

MAYDAY Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated Motor Claims Consultant to join a leading claims management and service delivery organization in Newcastle, NSW.
This role will oversee end-to-end motor claims from initial contact through assessment, investigation, and settlement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide brokers and stakeholders through the claims process, explaining requirements and steps.
- Assist clients in preparing necessary documents to support their claims.
- Facilitate effective communication to expedite the claims process.
- Provide prompt attention to all claims from initial contact to settlement.
- Investigate claims to assess their validity, gather evidence, and collaborate with involved parties.
- Negotiate with insurance companies to secure fair settlements for clients.
- Advocate for policyholders' rights to ensure they receive the benefits they are entitled to.
- Manage claim-related documentation and maintain accurate claim file notes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth claim processes.
- Participate in projects to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Requirements:
- Experience within insurance claims, end-to-end motor claims an advantage.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle complaints and difficult situations professionally.
- Familiarity with insurance laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in relevant software, data analysis, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent decision-making and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
