About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial analysis, and will be responsible for preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and providing financial advice to the business.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in accounting, be either CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying towards CA or CPA qualification. They will also have experience working in a large, complex corporate environment and strong general administration and coordination skills.

The role will involve working with colleagues based locally in Melbourne as well as in Hong Kong and Beijing, and will provide opportunities for career growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and conformance to reporting, procedural standards and statutory compliance.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide financial advice to the business to support decision-making.
  • Assist in the development of operating budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform other financial and administrative tasks as required.
