About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or someone working towards becoming a CPA or CA member to take the next step in their career. As a Financial Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our Financial Accountant and assisting with various financial tasks, including reconciliations, audit samples, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts as part of the month-end process
  • Assist in the collation of audit samples for the year-end close
  • Support the Finance Officer with queries on Retail daily bank reconciliations
  • Assist the Accountant with Rent invoice vs Lease eagle checks
  • Contribute to cost centre reallocation
  • Assist with Fixed Assets and BAS preparation
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Finance Team as needed
  • Participate in business transformation projects as a Finance Representative, providing input on the financial impact of new business processes
Requirements
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting system use, with M3 being a plus
  • Graduate-level work experience is advantageous
  • Highly motivated, well-organized, and proactive approach
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage changing priorities, multiple simultaneous projects, and solve queries
  • Experience in a retail or multi-site banking environment is advantageous
