Accounting Assistant Opportunity at Seed Heritage

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic finance team at Seed Heritage.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the financial accounting activities across the group, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.

The Role:
  • Prepare management reports ensuring high standards of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in the preparation of BAS returns, payroll tax, and Workcover.
  • Support month-end procedures including general ledger reconciliations and stock clearing accounts.
  • Provide documentation and support for annual audits with external partners.
  • Focus on process improvement and efficiency within accounting functions.
  • Liaise daily with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
  • On-site role 5-days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in a similar Accounting Assistant role.
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage projects, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and delivering outstanding results.
