The Role

We're seeking a Senior Engineer in our Platform Operations team to manage the complex challenges of scale unique to x15 ventures, using expertise in coding, communication, operations, and risk.

As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to design and develop in-house Azure IaC platform stacks, help ventures implement and build on Azure platforms, and work with AWS cloud, application code, and developing proof of concepts.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing in-house Azure IaC platform stacks
  • Helping ventures implement and build on Azure platforms
  • Working with AWS cloud, application code, and developing proof of concepts
  • Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting
  • Optimising cloud resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and high availability
  • Applying and promoting best patterns and practices
Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • 3-5 years' experience with deploying and running applications on Azure, with AWS experience a plus
  • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code (IAC): using Bicep and/or Terraform
  • Experience with cloud well-architected frameworks
  • Understanding of networking, firewalls, and security architecture
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD
  • Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
  • Strong skills and experience in at least one modern programming language, preferably JavaScript/Typescript
  • Relevant Cloud certifications considered
