About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Delivery Manager to lead our Locomotive Build Line and Test Area. As a key member of our Manufacturing & Maintenance - Transport business, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient production and testing of locomotives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the production process, including sub-assembly inputs, resource allocation, and material flow, to meet project timelines and quality standards.
  • Manage the production line metrics, including Safety, Quality, Production performance CPI, status to takt dates, and drive outcomes to issues impacting production.
  • Collaborate with Operations Support, Procurement, Warehouse teams, and external stakeholders to ensure cost-effective, timely delivery.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts by applying lean manufacturing principles, workflow optimization, and visual management in production and test areas.
About You
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, influence, and establish effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in a Production Management role, preferably within the rail or heavy engineering sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex production processes and deliver large-scale projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent knowledge of production management, lean manufacturing, and quality control principles.
  • Proficient in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems, such as SAP.
