Senior Biomedical Professional

The Senior Technical Officer, Biomedical is a pivotal role within the Clinical Engineering department at a reputable healthcare provider. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Biomedical Services Manager in supervising and training Biomedical Technicians.
The position involves prioritizing work schedules, developing effective service delivery plans and guidelines, as well as carrying out acceptance testing, calibration, performance verification, preventative maintenance, repair, education, record keeping and consultation services related to medical technology employed within the hospital.
This key role operates as a central reference point for all Biomedical Engineering related issues and functions in accordance with best practice, relevant Australian Standards and Industry Guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and train Biomedical Technicians
- Develop and implement effective service delivery plans and guidelines
- Carry out acceptance testing, calibration, performance verification, preventative maintenance, repair, education, record keeping and consultation services
The ideal candidate will have applicable vaccination requirements for a Category B role and a valid NSW Drivers Licence.
They will also be expected to prioritize the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and young people, actively working to protect them from harm and abuse.
